Philomena "Faye" Byrne

             Philomena “Faye” Martinez Byrne

Faye Byrne, 72, born April 13, 1945 in Montrose, CO.  She was the third of eight children born to Joe I Martinez and Philomena Fay Trujillo passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2017.

 Later she moved to Ogden, UT where she met the love of her life John Dale Byrne Sr (Butch). They were married on August 12, 1967. Together they had two sons.

 She enjoyed camping, fishing, family get- togethers, video games and loved Elvis Presley. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church

Faye is survived by her sons, John Jr (Traci) and Joe Dee; five  grandchildren: Janeane, Kaylee, Tayler, Jennica and Jadee and three  grea-t grandchildren:  Eliceana, Koral and Dakari; her brother, Joe IMartinez (Jr)  and sisters, Maryann (Richard) Lujan and Kathy (Crystal) Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Butch; her parents; her sisters,  Nancy and Lucinda Martinez Hall; and her brothers, Joe A (Sonny) Martinez and Ron Martinez.

 Funeral Mass  will be held at 10 am, Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church ,514 24th St. Ogden.   Immediately following there will be a Celebration of Life (potluck) held at FOE 2472 Eagles lodge, 975 Wall Ave, Ogden.

 The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and Faye’s nurses Jessica and Tina at South Ogden Post Acute.
