Phyllis Marie Conley

Phyllis Marie Conley, 80, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Ogden, Utah. Born on March 2, 1944, Phyllis led a life marked by devotion to her family and a passion for her many interests.

Phyllis's early career was spent at Mountain Bell in Great Falls, Montana, where she broke barriers as the first female frame worker after starting as a telephone operator. She later embraced the role of homemaker after moving to Utah, dedicating her time to her family and numerous hobbies. An adept seamstress and craft enthusiast, Phyllis also enjoyed fishing, cooking, and bingo. Her skills with a rifle were particularly notable, earning her the nickname "crackshot."

A loving mother and grandmother, Phyllis cherished time with her family, especially during sleepovers and holiday celebrations at her home. She is survived by her children: Sharon Borinski of Helena, Montana, Dan Wick (Amber) of Boise, Idaho, Billy (Brooke Greenfield) Conley of Ogden, Utah; son in law, Juan Haro of Ogden Utah and Amy Conley. Her life was further blessed by 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Phyllis also leaves behind her beloved dog, Cuddles. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Renville; her ex-husband, Clyde Conley Sr.; her son, Clyde Conley Jr.; and her daughter, Rose Haro, who passed just two days after her.

Phyllis was a member of the LDS Church, where she found a community of faith and fellowship. Her education included attending Great Falls High and furthering her studies at OWATC, which contributed to her successful career.

A viewing will be held on October 25, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will follow on October 26, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the residence of her son, Billy Conley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phyllis's name to Aaron's Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses. 

Phyllis's legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
