Sam Fordham ,73, of Bountiful, Utah passed away on December 5th, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. His passing isn’t the end, but a new beginning. He is free to roam the universe in search of the next adventure.
A man of True Grit, like the cowboys of old or the wild frontiersman forging a path for others to follow, lived a life with various adventures and took it all like a steel brace.
He chose a career path in all things Manly: he could build a house from the ground up, take an engine apart and put it back together again, anything the world threw at him that needed a’fixing, he conquered it. A master craftsman who could make ugly things beautiful.
He was Old School to the core and said “ba hum bug” to technology half the time, preferring to just do it by hand. He loved movies, and possibly had the largest DVD collection known to man. A sucker for Rocky Road ice cream, meat n’ taters, cigarettes and black coffee - remember, a cowboy. He loved scuba diving, stories of adventure and used to have the coolest collection of exotic saltwater fish.
But for all his ruggedness, Sam was a teddy bear at heart. He had a sweetness about him, a kind smile and a one-of-a-kind laugh. He helped whenever he could and loved his children dearly. He will be missed, but his freedom for the next adventure brings peace to him and all that knew him.
Sam is survived by his children Cheryl in WY, Jeremy in NC, Steven, and his two sets of twin girls, Maykayla, Jainie, Natal and Marshele in SLC, UT as well as his many grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Dec 10th 2022 at 10:30am. The service will be held at the Church of Scientology of SLC, located at 709 E South Temple SLC, UT 84102.
