Raymond Robinson Liptrot

Raymond Robinson Liptrot, 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 1,2013. He was born May 16, 1927 to Oswald and Elizabeth Anne Robinson Liptrot. He was the youngest of five children. He was a member of the LDS Church. He grew up in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1945. Ray served in the US Merchant Marines in the Pacific in WWII.

In 1949, Ray married Arlene Taylor and together, they had three daughters.

Ray was employed by First Security Bank for 33 years; retiring in 1985. He enjoyed volunteering and was named chairman of the March of Dimes.

Ray spent the past 17 years of his wife's life caring for her after she had suffered a severe stroke. He did everything for her, including taking her for daily car rides and the occasional getaway to Wendover.

Ray was a very generous, kind, and loving man. He would do anything for anyone and donated regularly to many different charities including: SPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, Disabled American Veterans, Boystown, and many more.

Ray is survived by daughters, Linda (Perry) Willard, Kris Maloney and Patti (Michael) Hart; sister-in-laws, Melba Lorance, Annette Feist, and Aurdel Liptrot; brother-in-law, Ralph Taylor; grandchildren, Billy (Sarah) Hall, Amanda (Patrick) Weldon, Cody Hall, Christy Maloney, Tyler (Carrie) Hall; and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; son, Jeffrey Alan; brothers, Oswald and Stanley (Alberta); sisters, Elizabeth Ann Yates and Mildred "Sally" Jensen; son-in-law, Jack Hall; grandson, Matthew Maloney; granddaughter, Joey Hall.

Graveside services will be held for Ray and Arlene on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Ogden City Cemetery to celebrate both their lives.
