Reva Trueba

June 9, 1936 — June 7, 2016

Reva passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 7th, 2016 at Ogden Regional Hospital.   She was born on June 9th, 1936 in Helper Utah to Longino Rojas and Petra Reyes.  She married Rufino Rocky Trueba on October 23, 1954 in Ogden Utah.  They made Ogden City their home and went on to raise 7 children there. Reva’s hobbies were to write on everything she could find, even napkins.  She especially loved to write poetry.  She loved her soap operas and her pets.  She loved her best friend, Daphne.  She was an excellent cook, specializing in Mexican food.  She was employed at St. Benedict’s Hospital for nearly two decades.  She was a loan officer for a credit union as well.  She is survived by her children Henry, Patsy, Reva, and Darlene and her 12 grandchildren, her 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She also had 3 brothers: Mori, Manuel, Max and 2 sisters: Tilly and Julia.  She’s preceded in death by her husband, sons Raymond and Rocky, and little girl Albina Ann.

We will be holding a memorial service for Reva on Friday, June 17th at 1:00 pm at the Faith Baptist Church at 2430 N. Fairfield Rd, Layton Utah.  Services will be conducted by Pastor Beickel and followed by a potluck.  All friends and family are welcome.  In lieu of flowers any contributions to help cover funeral expenses can be made to the Trueba family.

A special thanks to her wonderful granddaughter, Memorree Cogsdil, for her dedication and support to Reva over the years.  Your grandma loved you so much.  Whenever you came around, her eyes lit up.
