On December 20, 2023, Ricardo Barrera Hernandez Sr (Toro) passed away surrounded by his family. Ricardo was born August 1, 1951, to Apolinar and Guadalupe Hernandez in Mexico in the town of Matamoros, Tamaulipas. He was 1 of 10 kids. Ricardo married Charlotte Blair in 1973 and had 4 children together. They later divorced in 1992.
On December 20, 2023, Ricardo Barrera Hernandez Sr (Toro) passed away surrounded by his family. Ricardo was born August 1, 1951, to Apolinar and Guadalupe Hernandez in Mexico in the town of Matamoros, Tamaulipas. He was 1 of 10 kids. Ricardo married Charlotte Blair in 1973 and had 4 children together. They later divorced in 1992.
Ricardo loved playing pool, which he was good at and known as a hustler. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting with his family. He especially loved helping others and making sure his family was taken care of. Ricardo worked construction his whole life. He worked for A&K Railroad, B&L asphalt paving, Flanders Ready Mix and finished his career at Staker Parsons Materials and Construction from 1996 - 2020. Ricardo was also a great mechanic. He received his US citizenship in 2011.
Ricardo is survived by his children Tresa (Eric) Carr, Ricardo Jr (Mary) Hernandez, Jeremiah Hernandez, Lydia Hernandez, 13 grandkids and 3 great granddaughters. Siblings, Jesus (Cindy) Hernandez, George (Petra) Hernandez, Apolinar Jr (Cecilia) Hernandez, Alicia (Guillermo) Fernandez, Juan (Mary) Hernandez, Carlos (Diana) Hernandez
Ricardo is proceeded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Guadalupe, Maria Elena & 1 brother Jose.
A Celebration of life for Ricardo will be held on Friday January 12, 2024, from 6 - 8pm at 5375 south 5900 west Hooper Utah 84315
