Richard Blaze Archuleta, age 85 passed away peacefully at his home with his wife Sherilyn by his side on December 27th, 2022. He was born on June 9th, 1937, to John F. Archuleta and Jesusita Gallegos. He grew up in Colorado with his siblings Joe, Gilbert, twin sister Emily and Linda. He went on to honorably serve in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. Richard and his wife shared 40 wonderful years together and had two children John Archuleta (Erica) of Utah and Nicholas Archuleta (Morgan) of Florida. He was a longtime member of the NRA as well as devoted member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Dad was a real jack of all trades who enjoyed a simple life spending much of his time outside working with his hands. Richard was proud of his two boys and found true joy in life being a grandpa to Isabelle, Jocelyn, and Liam James. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Jesusita, brother Joe, and sister Linda Archuleta.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Aaron's Mortuary (496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401) from 6-8pm with a rosary at 7. Mass will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St Joseph's Catholic Church (514 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401) at 10am with interment to follow at Ogden City Cemetery (1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401).
