Ogden

Richard Gabaldon Sr. (Pops), 76, passed away on January 23, 2023, in Ogden, Utah.

Pops was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a charismatic man, who would leave a presence in any room he entered. He would regularly help those in need. Some may say he had a rough exterior, but those who knew him well know he would lay down his life to protect those he loved.

He loved fishing and collecting unique, random items, like knives, jewelry, and crystals. He had a fun-loving nature and loved to tell corny jokes, play pranks, and talk smack :). He was proud of all his kids and loved us the best way he knew how. He would regularly remind us we used to swim in his nutsack.

He is survived by his three children: Michelle Gabaldon, mother to Donovan Garcia, and Kain Youhouse; Kimarie Strickling, spouse Wes Strickling, mother to Joseph Lopez, Danyel Montoya, and Jerren Montoya, and son Richard Gabaldon Jr, spouse to Lucinda Gabaldon and father to Anissa Gabaldon.

He was one of a kind, for sure, and was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He definitely made an impact during his time on earth.

We love you pops and can't wait to see you on the other side at the fishing pond.
