Richard Jr. was born in Salt Lake City to Richard and Rosina Griego on November 15, 1967. Richard began living in a group home environment when he was three years old. In 2004, Richard became a resident with JST Community Services (previously REM Utah) where he continued to live until he was called home. He was a very easy going gentleman and enjoyed everything from watching movies to creating crafts with his friends. Richard absolutely loved all types of food. He would often go straight for his dessert first and save his vegetables for last; and when he thought he could make it work, he would sometimes try and take a scoop of food off of his neighbors plate! He also enjoyed being outside in the summer going for walks, picnics or just hanging out on his back patio. Richard had an amazing smile and laugh that was absolutely contagious. Everyone around him loved seeing him so happy. He fought so hard over the past couple of months, but it was his time to be called home. A huge void is left in the hearts of those he has left behind, however; we take comfort in knowing that he is now in Heaven and is able to be completely free from all disabilities that he was challenged with throughout his life.

Richard Jr. is survived by his his parents Richard and Rosina Griego and his sisters DeAnn Meyer and Stacy Maw.
