Richard William Sheppard

Richard William Sheppard, 66, died Tuesday July 2nd 2013. He was born February 24th 1947 in Clarksville Tn. to William and Marva Sheppard.

In Richard's words "He lived and then He died," but he did more than just live he experienced life to its fullest. Richard was an artist, son, brother, uncle, great uncle, best friend, vegetarian, monster movie enthusiast and antique collector.

He truly was a genuine, compassionate and giving person that cared more about others than himself. He loved the beauty of the outdoors and being in nature, and everyday he lived and breathed art whenever possible. He graduated from Weber State with a Bachelors of Art Degree. He's a true local artist as well as owning Sheppard's Antiques for over 20 yrs. Ogden has lost a great man but his legacy will live on through his art.

We will commemorate his life by holding a Richard Sheppard Memorial Art Show, show casing his life through his achievements in his acrylic paintings and sculptures. Come celebrate his life together with us at Union Stations Myra Powell Gallery Wednesday July 17th from 5-10pm. For those that can't make the memorial service, his artwork will be on display until July 31st 2013.

He's survived by his brother Ronald Sheppard, his niece Vanessa, his nephew-in-law Gabriel Stockton, and his great niece Rouje whom he adored more than anything.
