Robert John Bragonje

Robert John Bragonje passed away peacefully on April 15, 2014 in Liberty, Utah. He was born on October 22, 1942 in Ogden Utah to John and Mabel Bragonje.

He grew up in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School. After graduation he joined the army for four years and became a medic. He worked at the Mckay-Dee Hospital where he met his wife, Dorothy McAlister, who was a patient. They were later divorced.

Bob had many adventures. He worked for the State at Pineview Reservoir and also worked for many years at Snowbasin and Nordic Valley Ski Resorts. He drove a semi-truck, herded sheep, skied, parachuted, scuba-dived, and rode bulls. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always surrounded by animals and raised pheasants, chukars, chickens and even a couple of wildcats. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Bob is survived by one son, Christopher Robert, Manteca, California; one grandchild, Jesse Bragonje, Provo; one brother, Brent (Sue) Bragonje, Rockledge, Florida and one sister, Renae Bragonje, Payson. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kim, a sister Joan and his parents.

The family would like to thank his wonderful friends and neighbors, Sarah and Rodney Bair and Wayne and Allison Perkins, who took such good care of Bob over the years and particularly during his last days.

There will be a graveside service at the Hooper Cemetery, 5340 S, 5300 W,at 2.00 P.M. on April 22, 2014. A celebration of Bobs life will be held for family and friends at 5:00 P.M. at the LDS church building in Liberty.
