Robert Blaline Buck

November 14, 1941 — November 13, 2016

Robert Blaine Buck passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 13, 2016 the day before his 75th birthday.

He was born November 14, 1941 to Robert G. and Thelma Buck in Park City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah, and was an avid Utes fan for the rest of his life.

During that time, he met and married his best friend, MaryLou. They were married on December 29, 1966 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City. This year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.

Blaine was an avid musician who loved to sing and play guitar. His family adored listening to his heartwarming voice. He enjoyed camping and many years of golfing with his wife.

Blaine and MaryLou also travelled the world together, taking beautiful photographs. Most memorably, they visited Europe, getting to explore Germany and Paris, among other destinations. They also spent their winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

He was a cherished member of the Elks Club, BPOE 719 Lodge where he was Exalted Ruler, District Deputy and Secretary for many years. He retired from Thiokol/Autoliv after 26 years.

He is survived by his wife, MaryLou; and two daughters, Cyndy (Jason) Palmer and Tricia (Troy) Lund; as well as his five grandchildren: Taryn, Emilee, Caitlyn, Amy and TJ. He is also survived by his siblings, Dale (Dee) Buck and Janet O’Brien, as well as his nieces and nephews.

Blaine was fiercely loved and will be missed dearly.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 18, 2016  at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
