On a sad, but lovely day Tuesday, September 22, 2009 our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Robert (Bob) Ed Coxey, returned to be with those he loved. He was born December 15, 1930 to Fred and Elva Robbins Coxey.
Bob was reared in Ogden along with two brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Ogden High and attended Weber State University. On September 12, 1952 Bob married Valerie Phillips whom he loved and cherished for fifty-seven years.
He lived a very active life, he was a pilot for many years, he loved to fly. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force. He worked at HAFB, as an air traffic controller for over thirty years.
Bob loved sports, the outdoors, camping, fishing, floating the rivers in his raft, boating, but is greatest love was flying.
He is survived by his wife Val, their sons; Jeff and Rick, daughters; Deb and Michelle, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one sister.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Respecting Bob's request there will be no services.
Cremation is under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory.
