Robert “Bob” James Glasgow Jr, a man of unwavering kindness, boundless curiosity, and a childlike Spirit, always ready to go on the next adventure, and a true cowboy at heart, embarked on his final journey on May 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work and determination that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Surrounded by the embrace of his family, Robert passed away at his home in Layton, Utah, 5 days after an unexpected diagnosis of terminal cancer, closing the chapter of an adventurous filled life.
Born to Robert James Glasgow Sr. of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Angela Bernadette Dunn White of Dublin, Ireland. From an early age Robert knew who he was and never wavered from that. With his childlike spirit Robert could make just about anyone laugh at any time. His best friend Bob, of over 20 years, describes him as a friend who would be there through the thick and thin of life offering support and love.
Robert was often known as the hardest worker around. He was a roofing contractor by trade and could outwork almost anyone. He took pride in his profession and his skills. Robert enjoyed music, laughter, family, and a good steak as long as it was cooked “just right”.
Robert is survived by his fiancé, Jennifer; his “Boy”, James Lee Dawson; his “Baby G’s”, Charity Glasgow and Shelby Fernandez; and grandchildren: Angel, Mason, Adalynne, Maximus, Emeryn, Bentley, and Rhythm. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife, and son, Steven Stevenson.
May you forever watch over your kids, “Charbear”, “Jamesie”, and Shelby.
“May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
