In Loving Memory of Robert Lawrence Sanders
November 16, 1976 - July 8, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Lawrence Sanders (known to some as
Randy), age 46, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, on July 8, 2023, at McKay-Dee
Hospital, Ogden, UT. Rob's life was a testament to resilience and love, overcoming health challenges
with unwavering determination.

Rob was born to Eleanora Smith Sanders and Eugene Charles Sanders, Jr. on November 16, 1976,
in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised with love and care by his mother and the late William (Chip) James
Parker, who shaped his character and guided him through life's journey.

Rob's early education led him to graduate from Canarsie High School, Brooklyn, NY, in 1994. After
high school, he pursued further education, attending both Brooklyn College and Kingsborough
Community College. He went back to school in 2007-2008, earning two associate degrees in graphic
design and web design at Eagle Gate College, Layton, UT, displaying his passion for creativity and
technology.

Throughout his life, Rob dedicated himself to different roles in his working career, first, as a logistics
coordinator at Ivaran Lines Shipping Company in Jersey City, NJ, then as a floor supervisor at Tower
Records, Manhattan, NY. The one role he flourished in was that of the video game buyer at Tower
Records. This position held a special place in his heart as it marked the birth of a new department
that he played an instrumental role in developing. It filled him with immense pride and satisfaction.

On September 4, 1998, he married Heidi Rae Hunter, the love of his life, in Brooklyn, NY. They
cherished every moment together, facing life’s challenges hand in hand. Despite uncertain futures,
their love remained a timeless beacon, illuminating their lives with strength and joy.
Rob's life was a story of perseverance, courage, and love. Diagnosed with Lupus at a young age, he
battled against its challenges, surpassing life expectancy predictions, and cherishing every moment
with his wife, daughters, and granddaughters. His grandchildren were a source of immeasurable joy
in his life, and they fondly referred to him as “Grumpy”, a playful nickname that only deepened the
bond they shared.

Rob is survived by his beloved mother, Eleanora Sanders, his devoted wife, Heidi Rae Sanders, and
his daughters: Jazmyne Walton and her children Sage and Willow in UT, Jaquoya Walton in HI, and
Jamayka Walton in CA. He also leaves behind his brother, Rhashawn (Travis) Sanders, in OK, his
sister Saraya Huttoe, her husband Levi, and their children Amirah, Azaria, Dayvion, Kaleb, and
Dakarai in GA, his sister Raquel (Mae) Parker and her fiancé David Ward in NY, his sister Regina
Sanders in NY, his sister Halle Nowzaradan, her husband John, and their children Brooklyn,
Anastasia, Mariah, Sylvia, and Robert in TX, his brother Hillary Sanders, and his daughter Renoka in
TX, his sister Tiffany Williams, her husband McKenzie, and their children Shaiyonna, Sonterria, Sierra
and Sean in NC, his sister Patrice Dobson and her children Kenderick and Malachi in NC, sister Tara
Dobson, and her children Prince, Ineshia, Keyonna and Christian in NC. Rob cherished the
relationships he shared with his aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom were close to his heart and
whom he spoke fondly of.

He is preceded in death by his beloved dad, William (Chip) J. Parker, as well as both sets of
grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his godfather, all of whom he dearly missed.
