Robert Kennith Stringer

April 16, 1980 — August 19, 2019

Robert Kennith Stringer returned to our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2019. He will be greeted by the loving arms of his Grandpa Jake, Grandpa and Grandma Stringer, Uncle FJ, and his best friend and Cousin Adam Bera.

Rob was a loving caring man with an unforgettable laugh and smile.  He was born in Elmendorf, Alaska on April 16, 1980.

He was a happy boy and an amazing athlete who enjoyed wrestling, playing soccer, football, baseball, and basketball.  A natural athlete that exceled at every sport he played.

He was our “Robby”, he loved dogs more than life itself and dogs loved him right back.  He was devoted and inspired by his very first friend and big brother, Ricky.

Rob graduated from Fremont High in 1998 and soon after married the love of his life, Lori Mahosky and joined the US Navy as part of the USS Rainer; they had their pride and joy “Zachary” in 2000.  Rob served his country proudly; he fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Rob was very patriotic and loved his country dearly.

Rob struggled with depression and PTSD after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Even though Rob had his struggles he was still able to make everyone he came across feel special, like they had their own purpose.

Rob leaves behind his son Zach and his best friend and companion (service dog) Jazzy.  Along with his parents Richard & Debbie Stringer, his brothers Rick (Nicki) Stringer, Steven (Rachelle) Stringer, his favorite little sister Valerie (Jared) Humphries, Grandma Jake (Joy Jacobsen), many nieces & nephews, Aunts & Uncles, and cousins that loved him very much.  He also leaves behind Lori Mahosky Maxfield, Robin Pace, and Carla Miggin – along with her daughter Kara and granddaughter Carly Sue.

Rob will be dearly missed but we have peace of mind knowing that he can now be happy while smiling and laughing in a better place.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dickinson, Charlene Angel, and Staff at the VA Hospital for the care and compassion over the last several months.

Rob will be cremated.  Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, Clearfield.  Family will greet friends from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Afterward we will have a light lunch at Rob’s favorite Aunt Shauna’s house in Farmington.
