Robert John (RJ) Yarrington
12/29/1977 – 12/18/2015
RJ Yarrington, 37, of Ogden, passed away on December 18, 2015, after enduring heart problems for the past five years.
RJ was born to Robert Lee Yarrington and Trudy Taylor on December 29, 1977, after 11 years of trying to have a baby, in Ogden, Utah. He attended Bonneville High School, OWATC, and recently Weber State University. He met Christi Miller in 2002 and they married on November 28, 2006.
Whether you knew him as Robert, Rob, Robbie, RJ, Dad, Crimsondwarf, or Ashendwarf he was always willing to lift people’s spirits with a joke, an entertaining story, or a sympathetic ear. He had the gift of gab and was just about as friendly as a person could be in spite of the chronic pain he endured. His greatest joy in life was to make sure everyone was happy, laughing, and well-fed. He was often heroic in helping others to complete projects and meals. He almost daily checked in with his mom to see if she needed anything
He used his gift for gab in customer service related jobs, most recently at Wayfair and Home Depot Call Center.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Yarrington, Grandfathers Robert Wayne Yarrington and Alford S. Taylor, grandmother Betty Jane Taylor, and his ex-wife Laurel Champneys who always held a special place in his heart in spite of their separation.
He is survived by his mother Trudy Taylor, wife Christi Yarrington, brother Jeremy (Trisha) Yarrington, his sisters Melissa Roberts and Tracy Yarrington, daughters Paisley (Brody) Peel, Kara Odden, Diana Puebla, grandmother Phyllis Yarrington, parents-in-law Margi and Fred Lebold, best friend Ryan Doud, five grandchildren, two nieces, three nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at Mound Fort 2nd Ward at 952 Childs Avenue in Ogden on December 23, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Cremation services are being handled by Aaron’s Mortuary. A small private wake will also be held to honor the joy he brought.
We believe he’s now fishing with his dad again, which is one of his fondest memories. He’s not gone just gone fishin’.
