Rodney Ray Beeston, age 61, passed away in Sunset, Utah on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was born May 3, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Thomas and Vera Beeston and was the oldest of nine children.
Rod grew up in Orem, Utah and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in the New York City, New York mission. Rod was a faithful member of the church throughout his entire life. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Electrical Engineering. It was there that he met his wife, Cindy. They moved to Colorado, where they lived for 32 years and raised their five children.
Although he sold his motorcycle in his early 30s, he always maintained a sense of adventure. With a mischievous sense of humor and a passion for rock music, Rod was always his own person. Undoubtably whistling on his way to heaven, Rod is survived by his wife Cindy and his five children: Linda Johnson (Rich), Rebecca Beeston, Gail Mecham (Drew), Julie Beeston (Kevin Moultrie), and Daniel Beeston. Rod was also a loving grandfather of three: Korbin, Zelda, and River Johnson, and a caring brother to Ralph Beeston (Denise), Maureen Beeston, Andra Stokes (Ray), Bruce Beeston (Carolyn), Keith Beeston (Jeri), VaNae Flake (Read), Sharon Brooks (Jason), Janell Taylor (Aaron).
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 12, at 11:00am at Aaron’s Mortuary – 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, UT. There will a Family Visitation prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00am.
