Ronald Dell Daniels Brown

June 2, 1946 ~ April 17, 2015

On April 17, 2015, our favorite cowboy, son, brother, father, husband, uncle, grandpa, teacher, hunter, and friend passed away from complications of pancreatic cancer.  He is now riding in heaven.  Ronald Dell Daniels Brown was born June 2, 1946 in Weber County.  He is the son of Clarence D. Brown “C.D.” (deceased) and Elaine Hancock Brown.  Ron served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern Atlantic states.  Ron obtained the rank of Lieutenant in the ROTC, and graduated with a degree from Utah State University in Agriculture Economics and later obtained an education degree from Weber State University.  He retired from teaching after 27 years.  Mr. Brown loved each one of his students and they loved him.

Ron and Ginger Williams were married and sealed in the Ogden Temple February 1, 1973.  Ron cherished his bride and often told her and others of his love for her.  He taught his boys to love and respect their mother.  He loved his boys; and he taught them the value of hard work and the beauties of nature.  Through his example they learned to love their Heavenly Father.

Ron’s other career, from which he never retired, began with an innate love of horses as a small child.  A fond memory was helping his father plow fields with a team of horses.  He cherished his years working as a wilderness ranger on the North Slope of the High Uintas.  He returned often to hunt and fish with his family.  The Uintas remained a sanctuary for him throughout his life.

Antelope Island, itself, speaks the name, Ron Brown.  He knew every inch of the island.  The island and its creatures knew him.  The Garr Ranch deer (Whisper) followed him for years like a puppy dog.  To be on a trail ride on the island with Ron was being introduced to a wonderful new, old world.

For many years Ron and Ginger had a roman riding act, performing at events throughout the country.  While working for Great Adventure Park in New Jersey, they became acquainted with Hollywood animal wranglers.  That association helped them get work in the movie industry.  They have trained animals to work in the New Testament videos, other LDS productions, and several Hollywood films.

He treated everyone with respect, the same way he treated horses, deer, and birds.  Everyone found Ron easy to love because of his Christ like love for everyone.

Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, his mother Elaine, three sons Ryan (Katie) Brown, Michael (Brandice) Brown, Lonnie and Ron's mother in law Charlotte Willams. Ron cherished his ten grandchildren Lucy, Brighton, Billy, Cody, Wyatt, Travis, Tyler, Tayli, Emma, and Elias.  He was the oldest of three children; David (Robin) Brown, and Suzan Hancock.  He was preceded in death by his father, and his infant son, Dell.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the North Ogden 24th Ward, 1150 East 2600 North.  Friends and family may visit on Wednesday April 22 from 5-8 p.m. at the same location and on Thursday prior to the service from 11:30–12:30 p.m.
