Ronald George Vigil

Ronald George Vigil , 66, passed away October 11, 2014 of Diabetic Heart Failure.  He was born January 31, 1948 to Raymond Vigil and Simodosea (Borce) Armijo.
He graduated from Ogden High School in 1967.  He was in the military during the Viet Nam era, serving in Alaska as a Lineman.  In the Army,  Ron was a boxer;  he won the title of Southern Boxing  Championship  in Alaska.
Ron loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his daughter and grandkids.    Ron was such a good fisherman that if there was a puddle of water anywhere, Ron would catch a fish out of it.  He loved  to make people laugh.  Following serving in the military, he worked  at Hill AFB for 25 years retiring as a machinist.
In  1980 Ron met Nieoma (Susan) Campos.  They had two beautiful children, Amber Vigil and Robert Vigil (deceased);  later in a  relationship with Emily Eccles, they had a  daughter , Jamie Eccles (deceased);  grandkids, Alissa, Anthony, Alizandria.
Surviving are his father and mother, Raymond and Simodosea  Vigil; his brother and best friend,  Allan (Pepper) Vigil of Layton;  and sisters, June Trujillo and Lorie (Khalid) Al-Olayan;  and his special friend, Norma Webb.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic  Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, October 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 419 24th St, Ogden, Utah.
