Roy Bernal Harvey

Roy Bernal Harvey, 89, longtime resident of
Clearfield, Utah, passed away on
30 July 2022, in his home from natural causes.

Roy was born in Fairview, Utah 13 January 1933, to
Bernal Albin Harvey and Rosanna Cox. He grew
up in American Fork, Utah where he lived until he enlisted in
the US Navy, 3 December 1952, during
the Korean conflict. While in the Navy he bought his first
motorcycle, and had a love of them ever since.
Roy married Carol Jean Van Wey in 1955 and they
moved to Clearfield, Utah in August of 1956. He went into Civil Service and
retired from Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the Clearfield
1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Roy had a love of motorcycles, ice cream sandwiches, golf, guns, reloading
ammunition, DIY projects, driving, lending a helping hand to others, and
did we mention ice cream sandwiches. At age 85, he had the time of his life
when he went to I-Fly skydiving simulation with his grandson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Carol Jean VanWey
Harvey. He is survived by his children Ronette Lee Griggs of Woodland
Park, Colorado, Randy Harvey of Rosamond, California, Robert Roy
Harvey of Layton, Utah and Kelly Harvey of Clearfield, Utah as well as
many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Per his request there will be no services.
