On Monday January 4th 2021, Ruben Escobedo passed away due to complications from cancer at the age of 70. Ruben was born in Monterey, Mexico on May 15, 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon & Guadeloupe; 3 siblings Yolanda, Roel & Rolando; 1 son James; 1 grandson Carson. He is survived by his adoring wife, Michelle; children Scott (Celeste), Aaron (Nicole), Raul, and Steven; grand children Leah, Braeden, Aisleigh, Jacob, Tessa & Damien.
Ruben had three great loves in his life: his wife and best friend, golf and The Dallas Cowboys. He and Michelle loved to travel all over Utah as he chased his passions. Ruben had a fulfilling career with Weber Basin Water spanning 32 years. He is loved by many and deeply respected by everyone who knew him. One of Rubens true joys in life were his grandchildren. He was endlessly fascinated by them and their love for life.
Ruben was the type of man that every man tries to emulate. His work ethic was legendary and he was always willing to roll up his sleeves to pitch in. His marriage to Michelle was the kind that is celebrated and envied by everyone who knew them. Ruben will be missed but not soon forgotten.
The viewing & funeral will be at Aaron’s Mortuary (496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401):
• Viewings are on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service.
• Funeral is on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1 pm followed by graveside services (813 N 750 W, Clinton, UT 84015).
