RULAND RALPH TRAPPETT (TRAP) Our loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend left this life on 1 November 2013, at his home, after a long struggle with Diabetes. Ruland was born the first son of Ruland and Marion (Cornford) Trappett on 25 September 1940 in Ogden ,Utah. He attended Ogden City schools. He graduated from Ben Lomond High where he participated in many sports and won the state wrestling championship. He attended Weber State University. He also received his Real-estate License . He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and received his Eagle Scout award, with his father as his Scout Leader. After high school he moved to California and met and married Donna Roberts in 1962. Together they had 3 beautiful daughters, Karey Ann Summers,(Alan), Suzanne Trappett (deceased), and Staci Talbot. They were later divorced but remained friends Later in his life he was given a wonderful unexpected surprise, to find out he had a son, Jesse Mascarenez, whom he loved with all his heart. He was married to JoAnn Runchel 16 October 2001. They enjoyed a wonderful life together. They looked out for each other through their joys, and the trials. They took care of each other throughout their many illnesses, and she will miss him dearly. Ruland was a born salesman, with the gift of gab, inherited from his father . He owned his own business in Rock Springs Wyoming,. He sold for Hinkley & Cutrubus Dodge in Utah. He was a successful real-estate agent and won many awards. Ruland loved to travel and went to many places throughout the world. Many trips he won, because he was such a good salesman. His passion was hunting and fishing, and camping with family and friends. He made several trips to Alaska to hunt, and got his Big Horn sheep there. While in Alaska he also did some deep sea fishing. Another favorite was when he went to Arizona to hunt a Javelina (wild boar). He also got a Bear in Wyoming and many Elk and Moose, and a Badger, and all kinds of birds, which are all displayed on the family room walls. Ruland was always there for everyone and he will be missed by his wife JoAnn, and children Karey Ann, Staci, Jesse, stepchildren Aneice Rounkles, DerrickO'Conner (Brittany), Ben Radakovich, Kenny Radakovich. His grandchildren Jason Faler, Cory Trappett, Samantha Trappett, Mirkeli Nichols, Vincent Anderson, Zachary Talbot, Chris Talbot, Liam and Noah O'Conner Saerah Mechan, and 5 great grand-children. Also his brother Gregory Trappett (Diane), and sisters Noreen Trappett-Horning, Sharleen Manzlone(Rodney), a special foster brother Jerry Hill (Sharon), and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a daughter Suzanne Trappett, and a sister Gloria Jean Trappett, A "Celebration of Life" will be held in his honor on Saturday 9 November at 1000 Suncrest Dr. 7th Street Ogden Utah 3 to 5 P.M.
