My best friend, my soulmate, the Love of my Life and my sweetheart Russell Thomas Orrs passed on to his next mission on April 5th, 2022. He was born on July 23th, 1942 middle child to Grant Russell Orrs and Mary Beetha Keeley. He is preceded in death by his parents, his only sister Edna Orrs Kerns, his son Allen Orrs, his nephew Michael Orrs. Those left to celebrate his life his daughter Penny Jo Orrs Lauer ( Steve), Douglassville, PA; his son Tom Orrs (Amy) Reading, PA; His grandchildren: Tabytha Lauer Dakota Lauer, both of Douglassville, PA; Janessa Orrs Dixon Travis, Greenville, SC; Faith Orrs Smith (Patryk) , PA; Libby Orrs, Greenville, SC; His sweetheart Linda Boyer-Orrs and all her family.
Russell was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints on Feb. 7, 2012. On March 27, 2013, Linda's BD, they were sealed in the Brigham City temple of the Church of Jeus Christ of Latter Saints for eternity.
Russ was a commercial trucker for over 30 years with over one million miles accident free, retiring in 2007 to be chauffeured by his sweetheart.
Russell & Linda met square dancing with the Ogden Singles Married in a surprise Square dance wedding for the club on Oct. 12, 1993. Russell joined Linda as an officer in the Northern Regional Association for 6 years.
We traveled thru out the USA, crossing things off our bucket list, Hersey's Chocolate Factory, Dollywood, Nashville Memphis , Branson, Western Caribbean, the church history side's, Winter Quarters, Nauvoo, I'll, Palmyra, NY, Nigeria Falls, NY and many more.
Russell will be missed but he is continuing the next phase of his journey. Until we meet again.
Celebration of Life will be held on what will be his 80th BD. Happy Birthday sweetheart. I love you.
