Sarah L. Chavez, 73, went to her eternal home, Tuesday, June 23, 2015, she was surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born in McPhee, Colorado on August, 3, 1941, to Filimon and Sarah Lemos and was the last surviving sibling of eight children.
On April 19, 1958, she married the love of her life, Eloy L. Chavez, and together they had nine kids.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eloy, and children: MaryJane (Otis Sr.) Shroulote, Diego (Cathy) Chavez, Sophie (Lee) Williams, Paul Chavez, Peter Chavez, Gary Chavez, and Johnny Chavez; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Filimon and Sarah Lemos; siblings: Rose Quintana, Baltazar Lemos, Tony Lemos, Manuel Lemos, Clifford Lemos, Filimon Lemos Jr, Beatrice Lemos, and her three sons: Frankie, Filimon, and Jerry Chavez.
Her family would like to thank Manor Care, Abundant Life Hospice, and Applegate Hospice for the special care they provided over the last few years.
Farewell services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Genesis Project, 270 12th St., in Ogden at 11 am with a luncheon following. Viewing and Rosary were held Thursday evening, June 25, 2015, at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
Her final resting place will be in her beloved Grants, New Mexico.
