Shane Justin Cox, 53, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Born November 22, 1971, he graduated from Shiloh High School in Georgia, then Weber State University, Utah, in Graphic Design. Later he worked as a General Contractor. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Shane is survived by his parents, Clair and Christy Cox. His children: Canyon Cox, Ellie Cox, Lucy Cox, and their mother, Monica Belnap. His siblings, Camela (Cher) Corcoran, David (Allison) Cox, James (Michelle) Cox, and Jency (Riley) Holgate.
Shane had remarkable children. He and his siblings reveled spending time with each other. Shane greatly loved the outdoors, especially snowboarding, winning many competitions. When Shane’s kids were growing up, he loved taking them on outdoor adventures, camping, hiking, rock climbing, biking, or creating huge backyard adventures. He loved wonder and creating. He was gifted in many ways, in imagination, creativity, art, spirituality, insight, and wisdom.
He was known foremost for his extraordinary kindness and his spiritual connection to earth and universe. He was very focused on his spiritual journey and higher purpose. He loved people and had deep friendships.
We love him. We will miss him.
