Sharon Brook Olsen

Sharon Brook Taylor Olsen passed away peacefully on December 13, 2022 at the Auberge Assisted Living facility in North Ogden  She was born in Brigham City, Utah on April 15, 1934 to Albert J. Taylor and Catherine Van Zyl Taylor.  She had one brother Jay Taylor whom she kept very close with.

After High School she met and married Richard M. Hunt in May 1952.  They had 3 boys: Ronald, Richard and Randy.  Growing up the family spent some fun times boating, fishing, and hunting.  Brook loved to go dancing and they went often.   She had some friends that were very dear to her, Corey and Linda Boekweg and Chris Arnold.

Brook and Richard divorced; and in March 1976 she married Orval Hal  Olsen in Elko, Nevada.  Later their  marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on December 13, 2000.

Surviving are her children:  Ronald (Laraine)  Hunt of Layton, Richard Kim (Debbie) Hunt of North Ogden, Randy (Michelle) Hunt of St. George; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and Hal’s 3 children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jay, Richard M. Hunt, Orval Hal  Olsen; granddaughters, Jamie Hunt and Kristy Townsend.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11 am at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Utah.
