Shawn Lee Patson

Shawn Lee Patson, 47, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.  He was born on October 27, 1969 in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Dennis Larry and Kathleen Ann Pihlaja Patson.

Shawn lived in Minnesota, Alaska, and Utah.  He graduated from Washington High School, Ogden, Utah in 1988.  He worked as a HVAC technician and was an excellent craftsmen, handyman and mechanic.

He loved to play golf, watch the Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake, but the Minnesota Vikings were his true love.  He watched his Vikings win one more time the evening before his passing.

Shawn is survived by his father, Larry Patson of Arizona; mother, Kathleen Lowe of Layton; sisters: Tammy Patson and her children, Harrison and Hayley of Texas; Stephanie Lowe and her son, Steven of Layton;  Sacha Patson and Brianna Patson of Washington; brother, Ryan Lowe and his daughter, Phoenix of South Carolina; his beloved fur-baby Mia; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.  He will be greatly missed, leaving an empty space in our family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edwin and Eileen Patson, Elma Patson, and Elmer and Rosie Pihlaja;, his godfather and uncle, Roger Pihlaja, uncle, Lyle Pihlaja; cousins, Joshua and Rachel Mattson.

Private funeral services will be held for the family at Aaron's Mortuary in Ogden with interment at the Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, South Ogden, Utah.
