Stanley H Hill

January 8, 1942 — June 4, 2016

Stanley H. Hill

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Stan, passed away on June 4, 2016 of complications of cancer.

He was born January 8, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to Leona Jacobsen and William S. Hill, who died on March 18, serving in WWII.  Leona later married Ray Durrant who raised him.

Stan graduated from Weber High School and married Rita Phipps .  Together they had Mark, Roger, Annette and Scott.  On June 14, 1980, he married the love of his life, Sandra Nelson.  Together they had Laurie (Hill) Gilmore in addition to Pam and Shelly.

Stan retired from Hill AFB as supervisor to the F16 Avionics Section.  He also served in the Naval Reserve.

Stan loved his car he recently restored.  His greatest love and passion was his family who he devoted countless hours of tying fishing rods, riding ATVs, camping, and our annual archery hunting trip.  Most of all teaching us all what it truly means to have integrity, work hard, and love unconditionally.  He and Sandy enjoyed many trips to St George, Utah exploring and laughing with great friends.

Stan is survived by his wife, Sandra Hill; children:  Mark Hill, Roger (Holly) Hill, Laurie (Hill) Gilmore, Annette (Shellie) Silcox, Scott (Debbie) Hill, Michele (Scott) Barrow and Pam Mitchell; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr Harris and Dr Gray’s office and their amazing staff; Ogden Regional Hospital ER and ICU staff’s exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 S State Street, Clearfield, Utah.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the mortuary.  Interment Clearfield Cemetery.
