Steven E. Speth returned home to his Heavenly Father on March 31, 2013 on Easter Day, as we celebrated the Resurrection of our Savior and his sacrifice to all the world. On this Easter Day our beloved father also sacrificed his life for the life of his little grandson. Steven was born in Logan, UT on May 8th 1958 to Ernest LaMoyne Speth and Lorna Faye Peterson. Steve grew up in North Ogden, UT and graduated from Weber High School. He served eight years in the United States Navy. That is where he met Karen Louise Moscatiello from Bayonne, NJ. They began their life together in Ogden, UT. Later they moved to Logan, UT and raised four children. Married in the Logan Temple Utah and sealed to his children. After 32 years of marriage were later divorced. He then met Millie Jean Webb. They married on December 23,2011 at the Wellsville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Steve loved to work on the farm with his grandparents, loved horses and attending rodeos with his wife Millie and step daughter Marissa, wood working and spending time with family. He currently worked for EA Miller from Hyrum, UT and made a life time profession driving truck which he and his son Richard so loved. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Steven is survived by his three children Cody Steven Speth of Ogden, UT; Jody Lynn Hull (Darin) of Ogden, UT; Richard LaMoyne Speth (Jessica) of Kimberly, ID; by his wife Millie Jean Speth of Wellsville, UT; his step-children Shawna Simons of Montana; Marissa Cook of Wellsville, UT and 21 grand children; step mother LaDean Speth of Kanab, UT; step father Richard Moscatiello of Ogden, UT; siblings Kevin Speth (Janet) of Hyrum, UT, Laurie Bradshaw (Brad) of North Ogden, UT, Jeff Speth (Janae) of North Ogden, UT, Sue Larsen (Troy) of West Jordan, UT, Bryan Speth (Tina) of Spanish Fork, UT, Darin Speth (Dana) of Logan, KS and many nieces and nephews. He's preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest and Edna Speth, His father Ernest LaMoyne Speth, mother Lorna Faye Peterson Moscatiello, son Brody Carson Speth. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to love and know him. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 5, 2013 @ the Wellsville, UT 5th Ward chapel 660 South 100 West @ 12 noon with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Providence City Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Police Department, Paramedics and Logan Regional Hospital for all their efforts in keeping him with us. Also to Aaron's Mortuary of Ogden, UT in care of our beloved father, brother, husband and grandfather.
