Susan Gale Klein

January 11, 1948 — August 10, 2019

Susan Gale Miller Klein – January 11, 1948 – August 10, 2019

Susan Klein passed away due to Pneumonia at McKay-Dee Hospital on August 10, 2019, surrounded by those who loved her best.  She was born on January 11, 1948, to Arthur Raymond and Marie Anna Miller in Ogden, UT.  Susan attended school in Ogden, graduating from Ben Lomond High School.  She married John Charles Klein and had two daughters.  She and John later divorced, and Susan dedicated her life to raising her girls, Lisa and Sherry.

For many years, Susan ran in-home daycare where she loved each child as much as she loved her girls. Over the years, she took care of many kids and continued to stay in contact with many of them, long after they were grown and had children of their own.  She later worked at TAS Tire and Auto in Ogden doing bookkeeping and working with customers.  She loved working at the shop, where she supplied the guys with candy and treats.  She made friends wherever she went and one of her favorite things was to spend time talking with people and getting to know them.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa Savage (Daniel Muhlestein) and Sherry Klein (Adam Montoya), her beloved grandchildren, Veronica Savage, Devin Savage (Ana Flores) Addison Savage, Johnathon Payton and Jaedon Montoya. She is also survived by her brother Michael Miller and sisters, Nora Bangerter and Ethel Wimmer. Mom always felt that family wasn’t just the people you were related to, and over the years our family expanded to include John and Sylvia Savage and their children Brent and Lori, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Larison and brothers David Miller and James Miller.

Our mommy was our best friend, we spent our days being loved and cherished.  A huge hole has been left in our hearts with her passing.  Lisa and Sherry would like to thank all those who came to see Mom in her final days and for the love and support we received from our friends and family during this time. We would like to thank the ICU staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and Crestwood Care Center for the loving care she received.

An Open House will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Harley & Buck’s Restaurant, 2432 Washington Blvd. Ogden UT 84401 from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
