Susan Elaine Stewart-Adams

November 21, 1949 — October 24, 2010

Susan Elaine Stewart-Adams passed away peacefully in her home on October 24, 2010. She was born in Ogden, Utah on November 21, 1949 to Duane Earl and Norma Jean Stewart. She grew up in Roy, Utah before leaving to pursue her higher education. She graduated from University of Utah and obtained her MBA from University of Texas in Austin. While in Texas she met and married her soul mate, John Adams. They lived in Laredo, Texas where John ran his business and Susan, being an accomplished writer, had her own column in a Laredo newspaper. Throughout her life she shared her Mother's passion and talent for art and expressed it in numerous mediums. Upon John's passing in 1995, Susan returned to Utah to be near her siblings and began working for the Internal Revenue Service. While working for the IRS she met her fiancAC., John (Jack) Ihm. They had planned to be married aboard a cruise ship this coming January. Susan was an intelligent, independent woman. Her lively dialogue, wit and opinions will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She remained especially close to her niece, Venessa and great-niece Porshai after her sister, Deborah's passing in 2004. She enjoyed hiking and biking with her beloved Jack, the family campouts in the Uinta Mountains and the companionship of her pets. Although she had no children of her own, she was a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and sister Deborah. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Craig (Kit) and Earl William (Connie) Stewart, her niece and great niece Venessa and Porshai Nielsen, her fiancAC. Jack Ihm and numerous nieces and nephews. Susan's family plans a small private gathering in her honor and memory. In lieu of flowers, Susan's wish would be to contribute to your favorite charity. I know that God is within me. I know that the spirit within me is perfect. I enter into its peace and am secure in its protection. The unerring judgment of Divine Intelligence directs my way. "Unknown"
