Susan "Sue" Eleanor Torres

December 7, 1932 — January 17, 2018

Susan “Sue” Eleanor Torres, 85, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.  She was born on December 7, 1932 in Montrose, Colorado to Cecilio Rael and Maria Matillde "Mattie" Lobato.

She married Alexander Joseph Torres on May 31, 1950.  

Some of Sue's favorite pastimes included solitaire, listening to music, gardening, writing letters, long phone conversations, and being a disc jockey.  Sue had a very kind and gentle heart.  She loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her six children: Mary Torres Berry, Mike (Georgia) Torres, Ben Torres, Matt (JoAnn) Torres, Pat (Dana) Torre and Phil Torres; seven grandchildren: Alexandra Berry, Justin (Holly) Torres, Niki (Santiago) Medina, Stevie Torres, Carlie Torres, Anthony Torres, and Thomas Torres; five great-grandchildren: Xycenia Medina, Memphis Medina, Santiago Medina, Gabriella Castagno, and Isabella Castagno; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; her son-in-law, David Berry; her mother, Mattie; her sister, Carmen Ellsworth; her brother, Paul Montoya; and her beloved grandmother, Vincentita Lobato.  

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 9 to 9:45 am,  with Holy Rosary at 9:30 am at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St,  Ogden, Utah,.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St, Ogden, Utah.. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery located at 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah.
