Tanya Marguirite Bingham

September 30, 1974 — July 18, 2016

Tanya Marguirite Sauter Bingham, 41, born September 30, 1974 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; died July 18, 2016, in Kaysville, Utah.

Our darling Tanya’s anything-but-ordinary sojourn through mortality concluded on Monday, July 18, 2016, when she returned to her Heavenly Father who loves her, and blessed her with eternal relief after years of enduring chronic health issues.

Tanya was born to Tina Craig and William (Bill) Sauter in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. During her youth, Tanya cultivated a lifelong love of dancing, music, singing and acting. She performed with her school choir and on independent dance teams.

Family was always important to her. She loved family get-togethers in Calgary when she could spend time with her aunts, uncles and cousins, especially those she was particularly close to. And it was always a special treat when family would visit from Birmingham, England.

When Tanya was 16 years old, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She cherished the friendships she made in Victoria, both within and out of the church, and missed them all when she moved to Utah.

In 1992, she graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City. That same year she married Kelly Bingham, her devoted husband and sidekick of 23 years whom she met clubbing at The Ritz in Salt Lake and at a preconcert party for a Siouxsie and the Banshees concert. In 1994, they sealed their commitment to each other forever in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

All Tanya had ever wanted to be was a mother, and she was blessed with six spirited characters of her own to teach, love and tease. She was at her happiest watching her kids explore their talents in acting, Irish Dance, guitar, drums, piano, violin, longboarding, soccer, football, tumbling, video games and car repair. Her love of motherhood was exemplified by her choice to be a surrogate mother for a forever grateful, sweet couple.

Tanya was remarkably talented in arts and crafts and was obsessed with watching true crime documentaries.  Above all, she loved going to concerts like Depeche Mode and The Cure with her husband and kids, or watching scary movies, Gilmore Girls, or The Nightmare Before Christmas with them.

Tanya’s 23-year-marriage to Kelly was a force to behold for those who knew them. He was the Jack to her Sally. And like rough diamonds, the more pressure they were put under, the more brilliant they shone.

Tanya loved to travel and had visited most of the Western US States; Rome, Italy, and in 2014 she fulfilled a longtime dream of visiting Ireland, and her family in Birmingham, England.

Tanya worked several jobs throughout her life to help support her family. She absolutely loved her recent jobs at Bath & Body Works and ARUP Labs.

Tanya’s smile, laugh, selflessness, love for her family and fierce loyalty endeared her to people and will be greatly missed.

Tanya is survived by her mother, Tina Craig; her father, William Sauter; her brothers, Clay Sauter and Mike Kearl; her maternal grandmother, Iris Chutzkoff; her husband of 23 years, Kelly Bingham; her 6 children: Alandra (22), Kyndra (20), Quincy (19), Jayden (18), Colby (16) and Brendyn Liam (14); and a beautiful surrogate child she delivered for a loving family (9).

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville LDS 13th Ward Chapel,  875 East 200 North, Kaysville, Utah.  A  viewing will be held Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. and  on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the same location.   Interment will be at Kaysville City Cemetery.

Tanya, you’ll always be loved.
