Teodorico "Teddy" Kailipalauli

August 16, 1949 - March 8, 2017

Teddy Kailipalauli, 67, born on August 16th, 1949, passed away on March 8th, 2017 in Clearfield, Utah. Teddy served in the U.S Navy starting at the age of 19 on the USS Cleveland LPD7 ship during the Vietnam War. 

He worked for 23 years at Wailea Ekahi Condominium as the Director of Maintenance on the island of Maui in Hawaii. He also ran the entire complex in the absence and transition of managers.

Teddy retired in October 2005 to join his wife and family in Utah who had previously moved in 2002. His youngest son Joseph remained on the island of Maui with his family. Teddy worked at the Riverdale Walmart as a Customer Service Manager.

Teddy is survived by his loving wife Helene Magdalene Marques. They were married in Hawaii on December 27, 1969. They were married for 47 years and best friends for 62 years.

They had 6 children: Edward (Angie), Lenn (Anna), Robert (Ashley), Cherie Covell (David), Joseph (Cami) and hanai son Javis. 

Teddy has 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to McKay-Dee Hospital for being an essential part of their lives for the past 4 years. Also, a special thanks to Nurse Russell and the other nurses and staff of hospice who took the best care of Teddy.
