Tessabell Cheney, 96, Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2014. She was born in Vernal, Utah on December 18, 1917 to Loretta Luck and Parley Galloway. She was raised in Vernal. She married Leo Francis Taylor and they later divorced. She married Jack Cheney who later passed away. She worked years as a cashier at Evan's Superette and Waremart in Ogden, Utah. She loved to crochet. She made many beautiful afghans, hats, doilies, and dolls for family members. She also liked to sew and made beautiful articles of clothing. She easily showed her love to family members and friends with a big hug. Her laughter and fun disposition were loved by her family and friends. In her later years, she became involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to attend meetings with her cherished friends. She is survived by her daughters, LaDonna Barker (Syracuse, Utah) and Ruth Tidwell (Clinton, Utah). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 2 husbands, a daughter, a son, 4 son-in-laws and a great-grandson. The family wishes to express gratitude to Silverado Hospice and Deseret Health and Rehabilitation for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11 am at the Clearfield North Stake Center located at 151 North 1000 West in Clearfield, Utah.
