Thelma K. Miller born August 26, 1928 died April 3, 2016. Thelma was born in Chandler, AZ to Henry Culver Kartchner and Bertha Nations Kartchner. She was the fifth of eight children. She graduated Chandler High School in 1943.
She then went to nursing college at St. Joseph’s in Phoenix, Arizona graduating in 1949 with her nursing degree. She worked full-time until her retirement in 1992. Her last 27 years of her career were spent at Salem Hospital in Salem, OR. Nursing was her avocation, touching countless lives.
Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband Howard L. Miller who she adored.
She is survived by her daughter,r Katherine Madge and son-in-law, Richard Madge of South Weber, UT; son, Geoffrey Miller and son-in-law, Mac Duncan of Federal Way WA; six grandchildren, Andrea Miller Carpenter, Geoffrey Matthew Miller, Rachel Miller, Luke Turpeinen, Anna-Liisa Turpeinen and Julie Tate; siblings, Flora Smith, Gladys Mach, Ernest Kartchner, Jean Allison and niece, Carol Haflefinger.
She was an exceptional person, an exemplary mother and loved by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Emmett, Idaho
