Theresa Luceal Johnson

Our loving daughter, sister, and mother, Theresa Luceal Schiwal Johnson, 56, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from respiratory failure due to serious medical issues.  She was born on June 4, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Francis Joseph and Shirley Curtis Schiwal.  She was the second oldest of five children, and in 2002 she had the honor of becoming the mother to two beautiful daughters, Xandria and Rayn.

Theresa was an avid collector of antiques and miniatures, and she could spend hours perusing every nook and cranny of shops looking for that special item. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She had a huge heart and infectious laugh that will be missed by all.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Shirley, Layton, Utah; daughters, Xandria and Rayn; siblings, Kathy Ferguson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Fred (Sheila) Schiwal, Stevensville, Montana; Frank (Danielle) Schiwal, Layton, Utah; and Barbara (Brian) Turner, Riverdale, Utah; and her precious dog, Lucy.  She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was proceeded in death by her father, Francis, and nephew, Robert Ferguson.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the Emergency and Critical Care Units at St. Mark’s Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah, for their tireless care of Theresa over the past few weeks. 

At her request, no formal services will be held.  She will join her father in a celebration of their birthdays and lives this summer in Torrey, Utah, where they will be laid to rest.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please donate to a charity of your choosing.  Cremation under the direction of Aaron’s Mortuary, Ogden, Utah.
