Thomas A Ketts Sr. (Tom) 1939-2024
Tom was born in New Jersey to Harry and Mary Ketts. The family moved to Utah where Tom went to school at St. Joseph’s Catholic School through 9th grade. He then attended Ogden High School graduating with the class of 1958. After graduation he joined the Navy and served from 1958 to 1962 when he was honorably discharged.
He married Dotty Chase on April 28, 1962. Together they raised 3 children. He worked construction for most of his life with more than 25 years with Jacobson Construction with whom he was working when he retired. In slow times he sold Insurance, Kirby Vacuums, and was a jewelry apprentice. He did what he had to provide and take care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry C Ketts Jr. and Mary Ketts; his In-Laws, Lee W Chase and Dorothy Chase; his Wife, Dotty C Ketts; and Son, Thomas A Ketts Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Dykster (Kerry) their children Zak Dykster (Holly), Madison White (Cody), their 3 granddaughters; his Son, Roney Ketts (Tami) their children Brighton Allen (Micah), Cooper Eisert (Justin), Sander Ketts, Baydon Ketts, Cyril Ketts, Bricklynne Ketts and their 4 Grandsons; other grandchildren: Megan Garrison (Kyle), Thomas Allan, Skylar Ketts (Samantha), and Kacy Ketts (Ondrea). They have 8 children, which made up 8 of the 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held December 5, 2024, at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, with viewing from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a Vigil from 7 to 8 p.m. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on December 6, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th Street Ogden, Utah.
