Thomas Howard Simpson

Thomas Howard Simpson left this earth on March 19, 2013. He passed away unexpectedly at the home he shared with his step son, Daniel Marchant, his partner, Donyel and 3 grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah and Anthony. Tom was born in 1945 to Mary Kathleen Counterman and Cecil Bernie Simpson. Tom grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tom was employed by Zollner Pistons and Furniture Crafters and later Williams International, where he retired early due to poor health. Tom enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. Tom is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Simpson; two children, Misty and Jason, from a previous marriage; brothers, Carl and William, and sister, Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kay. He also leaves behind five step children, Paula Wardell, Shauna Birt, Linda Gallego, Michael Byrne, and Daniel Marchant; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. At Tom's request, no service will be held. Tom's friends and family will celebrate his life at a private gathering at the home of Daniel and Donyel. Tom will be missed by his family and friends. Thomas is being cremated under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary of Ogden.
