Toni Rae Chessmore

ROY a€" Toni Rae Chessmore, 47, passed away at her home on September 25, 2008 from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She was surrounded by her husband, children and parents. Toni was the second child born to Marilyn Hoffpauir and Buddy Odekirk on January 4, 1961 in Ogden. She was later adopted by Norman (Bill) Mobley Jr. and lovingly raised by him and her mother. She grew up as a "military brat" and lived in Germany, Maine and Ohio as well as Utah. She graduated from Clearfield High School and was a hard worker all of her life. Toni became a certified nursing assistant and worked for several health care companies in the local area. She lived in southern California for 10 years and worked as a patient advocate at Sunbridge Care Center in Huntington Beach until being diagnosed with ALS. She will be remembered as an angel on this earth for her gentle care of the aged and disabled. Toni married Eugene Poulson; they were later divorced. She married Claude E. Chessmore on October 31, 1995. Toni is survived by her husband; three children, Matthew Mobley of SLC, Michelle Poulson of Layton, and Travis (Emily) Poulson of Enterprise; two grand-daughters, Ocea Rae and Mackenzie-Leigh Marie; her parents, Norman and Marilyn Mobley of Clinton and Bud (Odie) Odekirk of Copperopolis CA; sisters, Barbara (Tim) Moore of Layton and Wendy Stark of San Diego CA; brothers, Kenneth Mobley of SLC and Mike Odekirk of Coos Bay OR; four nephews, four nieces and her special friend Godzilla. Toni was preceded in death by her sister Jodi Marie and by her grandparents. Her family will miss her immensely. Thanks to all who have shown their love and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.,Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory 1600 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT.
