Trenton Lyle Ellis

May 13, 1961 — June 7, 2023

Trenton Lyle Ellis (Trent to all who knew him) always was and always will be a bright light in this world.  He led everyone he contacted towards connection and love and away from the pointless and unnecessary negativity so many of us often indulge in.

Trent was born May 13, 1961 to Floyd J. Ellis and Merlynn (Campbell) Ellis.  When he came into this world, he had an older sister Bobbi Lyn (Ellis) Mathews (Michael Mathews), and an older brother Corey (Cordon) Ray Ellis. Three years later came a new baby sister, Lorrinne (Lorrie) (Ellis) Armitage (Lance Armitige).

When Trent was 7 his father unexpectedly passed away. His Mother subsequently married Tom A. Osborne Jr.  - Leslie Kim (Osborne) Schmachtenberger (James/Jim Schmachtenberger) and Richard M. Osborne (Leeann) became additions to a now blended family.  Five years later Sean Devlyn Osborne (Brenda Osborne) was born to complete the “yours, mine and ours” trifecta.

The death of Trent's father, mother, nephew, Chad Ray Ellis and niece, Katie Mathews, as well as his siblings Lorri, and Corry all preceded his own.

Trent loved his siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. And was a great brother irrespective of full/half//step status. His favorite band was Queen and he loved Styx and the Eurythmics.

Trent attended McMillan Elementary, Hillcrest Junior High Murray High.  He spent most of his career at the City of West Jordan in the Parks/Public Works Departments.  Trent was also pursuing a Horticulture Degree at Utah State University.

Upon retiring Trent moved to Ogden and spent many years there, the last 5 with his life partner Nathan.

Trent loved and was loved without reservation. He was one of those special people who seemed to have nothing but kindness in his heart.  He was generous to a fault and compassionate with everyone.  He struggled with health challenges much of his life and was often in recovery/healing or pain. It is comforting knowing he has been released from any suffering. We miss him dearly and always will.
