Vaughn V. Miller, 95 died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, October 26, 2019
Vaughn is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Carol Ellis a son Stan, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great great - grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Scott Daniels (Miller) and siblings: Leslie, Philip, Emily, Thomas, Virgil, George, Vera, Betty Ross, and Kenneth.
Vaughn was born on November 23, 1923 in Ogden, UT to John and Gwennie Rees - Miller.
He attended schools in Ogden and California and also Weber State College.
In 1942, Vaughn joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Florida where he met Dorothy Reynolds. They were married on January 7, 1945.
Following his military service, Vaughn worked for 30 years at H.A.F.B.
Vaughn was active in archery of all kinds designing and selling his own equipment and competing in tournaments. He was ranked 5th in the nation and held the Ogden City Championship 5 years in a row.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching the Utah Jazz.
Vaughn cared deeply for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Roy 4th Ward, 5301 S. 2100 W. Roy, UT.
