Velma L. (Flynn) White

October 17, 1945 – May 5, 2016

On May 5, 2016, Velma Louise White, formally Velma Louise Flynn 70, a native of Olivehurst, California and a 16 year resident of Roy, Utah, went to be with her Lord, after a long illness.

She was in retail management for 20 years. With the move to Roy Utah, she volunteered for N.A.M.I. (National Alliance of Mental Illness), also a volunteer at Hill Air Force Base pharmacy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas White; her son, Richard Perry; and her father, Archie Flynn.

She is survived by her fury companion “Jake” ; her mother and step-father, Laura Mae and Wayne Bressler of Olivehurst, CA.;  one brother, Larry (Linda) Flynn, of Olivehurst CA.; one nephew, Archie Flynn; one niece, Rebecca Ballantine , both of Olivehurst; several great-nephews, one great-niece, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by several cousins, step children and step-grand children and all of her “Utah Family.”

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 11 am at the Trinity Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4642 Olivehurst Ave, Olivehurst, California.  Graveside will  follow immediately after at Sierra View Memorial Park.
