Veronica “Roni” Ann Harrison, 61 passed away suddenly on Dec 4th, 2022, in Ogden Utah after her brief fight with lung cancer.
Born on July 16, 1961, in Ogden, UT, she was a helper and humor-filled spirit booster from the beginning. Veronica graduated high school, attended college and went on to become a machinist, fork-lift operator and auto mechanic. She excelled in doing jobs that are male dominated. She took great pride in being self-sufficient and raising her daughter, Alea. Most importantly she was a great sister, niece, mother, Mimi, great grandmother, friend and a great support to anyone needing it. She became more understanding and deeply compassionate in her recent years with a special affinity and concern for unsheltered people and animals seeking their forever homes. She volunteered many hours registering people to vote and collecting signatures for the successful campaigns to legalize medical cannabis, expand Medicaid and for citizens to determine fair voting districts in Utah.
She is proceeded by her grandparents Helen & Oris Whiting and her mother Nancy Harrison. Her loving spirit is carried forward by her daughter Alea Harrison; granddaughter Alixzandrya Brown & great grandson Malachi Brown of Augusta, GA; her aunt/sister/mom and closest friend Pam (Harold Lanier) Harrison in Ogden; her uncle Chris (Beth Fowers) Harrison in SLC; her sisters Candie (Robert) White in TN, Stacy Brewer in AL; her brother John (Corey) Harrison in SC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends nationwide. Her cheerful attitude and kind heart is already sorely missed by all of us.
Aaron’s Mortuary of Ogden handled arrangements. The family asks that you simply pay respects forward. Adopt a furry family member or plant a tree in remembrance of Veronica. She would truly love this.
