Wayne Vernal Cullens, first born child of Vernal (Casey) Wayne Cullens and Hazel Mae Fowers passed away of Tuesday September 16, 2004 in Ogden, Utah. He was born on July 2, 1949 in Ogden and raised in Hooper Utah. He attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Bonneville High School,
Wayne married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Bell and was later divorced. From the marriage was born Glen and Sharon Nelson. He then married Bonnie Chadwick and was blessed with the birth of two children, Tracy (Jenny) Cullens and Jessica (Richard) Hultz.
On June 17, 1989 Wayne started dating Ralynn (Ray) Brown and decided he was the true love of his life and wanted her as his soul mate and wife so on February 14, 1991 they were married. Wayne adopted Ralynnâs son Butch (Breezy) Cullens, then in 2004 when his granddaughter, Jessie Rae Cullens was born, Wayne took his âLittle Angelâ into her home and raised her for 9 ½ years.
Wayne was an outstanding and devoted member of F.O.E 3355, holding many positions including President. He loved playing his guitar and singing old country songs. Wayne could always be found sitting on the front porch visiting with friends and sharing stories. Everyone was a friend of Wayne. He was always willing to help others out in any way he could. He had a special talent when it came to electrical things and could wire anything.
Wayne is survived by his wife and children, as well as brothers, Kenny (Pam) Cullens, Steve (Cheryl) Cullens, Spike Cullens and sister Maggie (Dave) Austin. He has 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1 pm at the Hooper Cemetery, 5340 S 6300 W, Hooper, UT 84315.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Crestwood Care Center and especially Denise and Jeremy who took Wayne under their wings and whom he loved like a brother and sister.
