William Stuart Turner

May 7, 1927 -  August 24, 2017

In the morning on August 24th, Stuart passed away quietly in his home of natural causes.  Born in Ogden Utah to William Kinder Turner and Verna Stuart Turner, he met and married his soul mate of 66 years, Marilyn Nadell Turner, in the Salt Lake Temple after serving in the Army during WWII and on a Northern States Mission for the LDS Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Minnie Lee Williams.  Stuart is survived by 5 children: Victoria Kaye Youtsey, Kathy Grandin (Bruce Grandin) , Susan Slaughenhaupt (Jerry), William Stacy Turner (Corrine) and Irene Turner; 11 Grandchildren: Brandi Hammon, Brad Hammon, Keith Thurgood, Tyson Thurgood, Brooke Thurgood, Creed Bailey, Chase Bailey, Desiree Skillin, Shalynn Soria,  Angie Ramirez, and Shawn O’Dell and 35 Great Grandchildren. 

As Stuart often said, this family was created all because two people fell in love.  He loved his family and was always there to help whenever we needed him.  Stuart had a great sense of humor and kept us all laughing.  He was kind and friendly to everyone he met.  He will be missed by all of us.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August  28th at 11 am at Memorial Gardens of The Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, UT.
