Yvonne Cooper

Yvonne Cooper, 92, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve in Clearfield, Utah.  She lived independently until age 91 when she moved first to Rocky Mountain Care Facility and then to Chancellor Gardens Assisted Living. 

She was born on July 1, 1928, the second child of Mathew and Iris Bentley in St George Utah. 

She served an LDS mission to the Northern California/Bay Area where she met her future husband, Chester Cooper.  They married in the St George Temple in 1953, and settled in Martinez California where they remained for 12 years. 

In 1965, Yvonne and Chet along with their 4 children moved to Ashland Oregon.  One year later their 5th child, Ron was born.  They loved living in Southern Oregon and made many lasting friendships.

In 1982, after Chet died, Yvonne (and Ron) moved to Clearfield, Utah to be closer to some of her children.   She loved all the dear friends she made while living in Clearfield, and they loved her in return.

She is survived by her 5 children, Elizabeth Ortega, Cindy Haley, Bill Cooper, Kristine (Jim) Allen, and Ron (Patty) Cooper, along with 6 grandchildren, Tom, Angela, Kelli, Justin, Katie and Nikki. 

She is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother who treasured her dearly.  

A special thank you to Applegate Hospice Care for the loving care they provided to our mom, particularly Dan, Valerie and Tina, and the wonderful staff at Chancellor Gardens.  

Until we meet again dearest Yvonne, we miss and love you so much. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Aarons Mortuary in Clearfield, Utah.  A meet and greet with the family will be held from 10:30 to 10:50.
