Zane Christopher Perry was born December 12, 1981, in Brigham City, Utah to Dan A. Perry and Christine Buck Perry. Zane unexpectedly passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 42 in Ogden, Utah at McKay Dee Hospital, due to unforeseen medical complications.
Zane graduated from Box Elder High School in 2001. Zane joined the United States Air Force Reserves in 2005 and received an honorable discharge in 2011. Zane was stationed overseas for 125 days and had the experience of a lifetime. While being enlisted and afterwards, Zane worked at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. Zane loved working in aviation, (F-35’s, F-22’s, C-130’s, & F-16’s), obviously this was Zane’s calling. Zane was very detail oriented in his work and life.
Zane met Jamie Anderson in 2010 and began a relationship. In 2011, Zane & Jamie became the proud parents of Malaree Mae Perry. Zane developed a relationship with Jamie’s two other daughters, Jadree and Kaylee. Zane was protective of Malaree and tailored his life to ensure that her needs were always met. They enjoyed watching movies together and they loved going for long car rides and every conversation held in the car reinforced the bond they had.
Zane was reserved, organized, observant, nonjudgmental, intelligent, intentional with his words, and had loving kindness in his soul. Zane was the kind of friend that you knew was a lifelong friend. And Zane has numerous lifelong friends to this very day.
Zane, we all miss you immensely and our hearts break that you’re not here. But, we will never forget you! Rest easy knowing that Malaree will be taken care of and is surrounded by loved ones!
Zane is survived by his daughter, Malaree; his mom, Christine Lemon; his father and stepmom, Dan (Donna) Perry; sister, Amanda (Josh) Pierce; brothers: Phil (Jessica) Nelson, Derek Lemon, and Dylan Lemon; stepfather, Randy Lemon; girlfriend, April Hamby; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
